The Mount Sinai Friends of the Arts (FOA) is a school-based, volunteer organization that supports the music, theater and visual arts in the school district for students from K - 12. Through generous donations of people in the district and their friends and family members, the FOA seeks to provide extras that would not be available through the school budget. Donations range from in-school plays and concerts, field trips and educational enhancements and also include the purchase and donation of equipment including color digital printers (photography), pottery wheels & a kiln (ceramics) and musical instruments for a drum circle.
Board members serve as volunteers and donate hundreds of hours annually to this worthy cause of fundraising, student recognition and financial support. The FOA is grateful for the support of the administration, faculty and staff of the district, the volunteers who help us make the program's viable and the parents and students who keep us moving forward. We can't wait to see what can be accomplished next!
The Friends of the Arts (FOA) will follow the direction of the school district regarding closures and cancellations. We recognize that many of our annual events may need to be postponed or cancelled this year due to the Corona virus outbreak. When we have definitive information we will share it. In the interim, if school is closed, the event will not run. If you have pre-paid for a program, we will refund your money if it cannot happen as planned.
